About Us
The Story Behind Halu
Our name comes from two special words, hapu - means “clan” in Maori, (part of my ethnicity), and the “lu” comes from my beautiful friend Lucy who passed away in a car accident in early 2019.
Lucy was the inspiration that started Halu Collective and the reason for creating a business that gives back and supports an important cause. See below the contribution Halu Collective has to the Australian Road Safety Foundation.
Our contribution to the Australian Road Safety Foundation
Halu Collective donates $1 from every sale to the Australian Road Safety Foundation, a not for profit organisation, dedicated to reducing the impacts of road trauma. This foundation hits very close to home and they are incredible in the work they have done. Halu feels extremely lucky to have the power to be able to give back to this amazing foundation.
